By accessing or using AI Outdoor Trip Planner (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Nature of the service

The Service provides free, browser-based outdoor planning calculators and informational articles. We operate on a best-effort basis: the tools are provided free of charge, with no warranty of any kind, and we may add, change or retire features at any time without notice.

No account or payment is required today. A future Pro tier may introduce additional features, but the core tools will remain free.

3. Disclaimer of calculation results

Every output produced by our calculators — hiking times, calorie estimates, water needs, pack weights, costs, elevation profiles and more — is an estimate based on simplified mathematical models (for example, Naismith's Rule and MET tables). These outputs are not professional advice and do not replace the judgment of a qualified guide, medic, engineer or other specialist.

Outdoor activities carry inherent risk, including but not limited to injury, hypothermia, dehydration, avalanche, falling rock and getting lost. You are solely responsible for your own safety, the safety of your group, and the decisions you make on the trail. Always verify conditions with official sources, carry appropriate safety gear, and turn back if conditions exceed your experience.

4. Intellectual property

The site's text, code, layout and original content are the property of AI Outdoor Trip Planner. Photographs used on this site are sourced from Unsplash and remain the property of their respective authors, used under the Unsplash License. All trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners.

You may use the outputs of the calculators for your personal planning. You may not republish our articles or code as your own, or resell the Service.

5. External links

The Service may link to third-party websites (for example, Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info or Unsplash). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of those sites. Accessing them is at your own risk.

6. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
